Not necessarily cold, lonely, and at the mercy of the wind, rain has its own gentle power.

Falling in a continuous stream, and inspiring unexpected notes of splashes when colliding with different shapes and terrains, a downpour has a chaotic nature, but is also self-consistent with an ethereal pattern that resembles shuffling bass drums of the nether world, or echoes that dub from afar. The world soundtracked by the rain, lingers on the edge of light and darkness, being lovable and lamentable at the same time.

In her first LP, Rainsoft who has been active under the name "十一 II" in the electronic music scene in Shanghai, had a closer encounter with the rain of solitude. During the three months she spent in home quarantine in the first half of the year, she collected her thoughts on everything around her and the inspirations from gazing at the movement of clouds and rain outside her window, and then mix them with anxious or soothing ambiance in a sub-bass-woven techno grid.

The 8 fluid compositions here trace the trajectory of falling rain; tracks like "Eclipsed Time" and "Immersion" are a sudden onset of cloudburst, while soothing moments like "The Light of Darkness" and "Solitude" are like a warm sensation left on the face by raindrops dripping in the dark. The warmth might be instant, but the inner strength it evoked is a persistent, long-lasting, and gentle one.

"Hiding In The Light" is the perfect opener, which accomplishes what it announces in the title and also serves as the curtain that opens to this mysterious sound world. "Analogy" takes off from where the first track left off, boosting the fuel. The energy has overflowed so much that "Invisible Form" appeases it: our soul has overflowed and has been filled.
